Summer Theatre Workshops for Children with Kaivalya Plays

About The Workshop
Our summer workshops for children uses the medium of theatre to introduce young minds to the importance of listening, collaboration, and leadership. The sessions will foster a nurturing environment to encourage the participants to bring their imagination and creativity to create stories, characters and gain confidence in their own abilities in a safe and fun environment.
There is an emphasis on storytelling. Using games and exercises in drama, drama, arts and crafts, and even furniture and found objects, children explore stories they already know, as well as stories they make up in the workshop process. The workshop hopes to be a place that gives children space to explore stories playfully and instinctively, for the sheer joy of doing so. And, in the process, learn more about themselves and the world they live in. Finally, friends and family are invited to the final session to experience how the children's own performances come to life.

About Kaivalya Plays
We are a Delhi-based independent theatre group led by Varoon P. Anand as Artistic Director and Gaurav Singh as General Manager. We have facilitated workshops at multiple national and international education institutions like Ashoka University, Khalsa College, Ramjas College and Indian Institute of Art & Design. Off late, we have been conducting online sessions for the students of prestigious institutes like Instituto Cervantes-Delhi, Shiv Nadar School, Pathways School-Noida and Neerja Modi School- Jaipur. We have also been providing online teacher training workshops to over a 100 teachers at St. Mary's, Safdarjung Enclave.
